An atmospheric candlelit carol service was held in Tuttington church late Sunday afternoon.
The church of St Peter and St Paul was filled with a congregation from the whole of the King’s Beck Benefice. And after the carols and readings, everyone celebrated the advent of Christmas with mulled wine and mince pies.

A group of Tuttington volunteers had spent many hours ahead of the service getting ready the Nativity scene…

And wise men waited to make their entrance.

The church looked very seasonal with its tree and garlands of winter foliage.
