…have been painted. After having a rather shabby appearance for a while, the gates to the churchyard are now looking greatly refreshed.
The posts have been re-stained and the iron gates have had a fresh lick of gloss black paint. And what a difference it has made.
Together with the recent tidy-up of the lower churchyard, the principal building in our village – the church of St Peter and St Paul – is on the up. Next, the more heavyweight matters of fixing the failing timber and bulging flintwork of the church tower together with a plethora of other essential repairs. As ever, it’s just a matter of finding the money…
