Even the most eagle-eyed villagers of the rest of Tuttington might not have noticed the distressed and gradually disappearing road sign at the top of Common Lane. But, the residents of Common Lane certainly had. Rather than wait an indefinite time until the authorities could spare a mo’ to fix it, two enterprising people decided to take matters into their own hands and get on with the job.
Using the old sign and some handy new oak uprights, Trevor Richards from Common Farm and Richard Gould finished the job in a jiffy. And what a good job it was! Thanks go to Richard and Trevor for saving Norfolk Highways a few quid which they might consider spending on the potholes in Common Lane.
